Abstract
"This set of materials encourages framing DE&I (diversity, equity, and inclusion) curriculum through a global lens. DE&I is a global issue, not just a US concern. Stimulating student reflection increases communication and problem-solving skills, and an internationalized curriculum opens space for the voices and perspectives of international and immigrant students.
The first document, Internationalizing Your DE&I Curriculum, is a slideshow introducing educators to the concepts of curriculum internationalization. It shares why internationalization is important, how it impact students, and what activities educators can implement in the classroom.
The second document, An Internationalized English Composition Curriculum, is an assignment packet containing instructions, slideshow presentations, and source suggestions. The first assignment is an autoethnography with three layers that encourages students to connect their research with their own personal experiences. In the second assignment, students develop a discussion about prejudice based on Parrillo's essay ""Causes of Prejudice."""
