Abstract
"This report is supplementary to an earlier report entitled ""Effect of Surface Finish on the Fatigue Strength of Titanium Alloys RC 130B and Ti 140A.,"" by Sinclair, Carten, and Dolan. In the previous report, the fatigue strength was related, as an engineering approximation, to the surface roughness and the surface hardness of the material, which differed very widely for different methods of surface finishing."
