Abstract
The present investigation was conducted to study the behavior of welded wire fabric in concrete. One-way slabs, in which the bond stresses with conventional type reinforcing would be relatively high, were chosen for this study. The ultimate goal of this study is to provide information on which to base the selection of optimum sizes and spacings of transverse wires for various percentages of optimum sizes and spacings of transverse wires for various percentages and arrangements of the longitudinal reinforcing wires.
