Abstract
The objects of the investigation reported herein were: 1) to determine theoretically the ultimate strength of long hinged and restrained reinforced concrete columns, 2) to compare the theory with available test data, 3) to study the effects of variables having influence on the ultimate load, and 4) to develop a simplified design procedure.
