"This paper is a discussion of four problems which
arise in the sonic testing of concrete. The problems are
(1) type of pick-up, (2) multiple peaks in resonance curve,
(3) ""size effect11 and (4) deflection of specimen during
test.
Among other things the paper concludes that any
of the three types of picl-c-up (deflection, velocity, or
acceleration) may be used and that 11 size effect"" should
properly be termed ""frequency effect""."
