Abstract
"Engineering Mechanics majors presently take two senior level courses (TAM 293 and TAM 294) entitled ""Senior Research Project"". Each student has the opportunity to assume individual responsibility for the selection, development, execution, completion, and evaluation of an experimental and/or analytical investigation of any phase of engineering science. The three papers in this volume were presented in May, 1977, at the University of Illinois at the Sixteenth Engineering Mechanics Symposium."
