This white paper, written to guide the development of a Comparative Religious Studies course at The Ohio State ATI, concentrates on the religious lives and experiences of Asian American women. It examines Asian American women’s religiosity, spiritual, faith journeys, and historical roles and actions in building and sustaining religious communities. The course was developed to challenge students to see an opportunity and civic and, for some, religious duty to build awareness, bridges, and community and to protect the First Amendment religious rights of all, including Asian Americans.
