Abstract
This report documents the development of methods and analysis of the suitability of the built environment for supporting transit-oriented development (TOD) in neighborhoods and communities near proposed light-rail stations as part of the Southwest Corridor Light Rail extension in Portland, Oregon. The goal of the analysis is to examine the built environment's level of compatibility with transit-oriented design and engineering principles. This is achieved by evaluating each station area along a multitude of measures, each capturing a specific quantitative value representative of level of compatibility.
