Abstract
Regional Grid Interconnection: The Case of 7 ASEAN member States (AMS) models the future energy systems configuration for Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. The region was fascinating because of its advancements in energy transition and energy efficiency since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. ASEAN has accelerated its work toward renewable energy deployment and planning for a sustainable future since the onset of the pandemic. This study aims to assess the energy mix in two scenarios - one Business As Usual and the other being the Scenario with proposed grid interconnection and storage facilities.
