Abstract
Despite saliva properties being versatile, covering a wide range of body information, now saliva analysis is only utilized in a limited scope, majorly in medical use or expecting to assist patients in tracking their health conditions. Based on my research among 20 people of their interest levels in what different properties of saliva may provide (conducted on September through October 2019), people indicated that as a patient, tracking serious health conditions is a must, yet, as a person without major disease, they relevantly have stronger interests of tracking things more daily, such as sleep cycles or ovulation, which is feasible by analyzing saliva with a biosensor.
My initial research is guided by the desire to help people understand their preferred health conditions, study how a user may benefit the most from the diagnostic results, by utilizing saliva analysis which is noninvasive and effortless. The result will not be simply limited to serious diseases, and actions may be completed by leveraging their oral care habits (daily) or to complete saliva tests conveniently (periodically).
