Five years ago it was predicted that microcomputers would take the library
world by storm. As a matter of fact, this has not happened. Rather, there
has been a steady, but quiet, grassroots movement introducing microcomputers
not only into traditional areas of library automation, but into areas
dial previously have had only minimal impact from the electronic
revolution.
