Abstract
This poster reports findings from an exploratory, qualitative study on female derivative fanfiction writers’ selection of publishing platforms in Taiwan. Based on in-depth interviewing with thirteen experienced and engaged writers, we identified seven factors that influenced participants’ selection: target audience, content sensitivity, ideological pursuit, platform restrictions, classification and tags, platform sustainability, and cost for changing platforms.
