Abstract
The capstone project aims to work out options for the Pace service area, by recommending design suggestions for better transit connections in six audited cities of the region. This report is a continuation of work previously done for the research project ‘Barriers in Pedestrian Infrastructure.’ The research project is a collaboration between the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Pace-transit agency for suburban Chicago. This study explores response for the implementation of First and Last Mile Connections (FLMC) as a critical part, to ensure that every transit rider could quickly and safely get to and from their transit connection.
