- Abstract
- Jeff Mendez - Global Communications Director, ERS International (via webinar from Toronto, Canada) Electronic waste is a growing problem nationally and globally. As a leader in environmentally responsible electronics recycling, ERS International develops and utilizes new technologies, which allow them to obtain maximum recovery value of electronics via electrostatic separation & particle classification. They also are very focused on upcycling e-waste materials into innovative products. Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials into new products of better quality or for better environmental value. ERS has made significant headway in this untapped field of upcycling. They have discovered how to conjunctionally reuse waste materials from other industries as well such as natural stone waste. This webinar discussed their electronic waste handling, processing, and upcycling activities.
