Abstract
To address the uncertainty surrounding the historical data this project was undertaken to better determine the true distribution and status of Cambarus miltus. Our goals were: 1) collect form I males from the populations described in Fitzpatrick (1991) to ascertain if these populations are in fact C. miltus; 2) attempt to find the museum specimens upon which the Florida range extension is based; 3) to do a more extensive survey of coastal streams in southern Alabama.
