Abstract

Jennifer Walling - Executive Director of the Illinois Environmental Council. Enacting the statutes and rules to protect the environment in Illinois can be a complicated and difficult process. Jen Walling serves as the executive director of the Illinois Environmental Council, an organization that serves as the eyes, ears, and voice of the Illinois environmental community before the state legislature. Ms. Walling gave inside stories from IEC's work in Springfield and explain what it takes to pass good policy and what obstacles stand in the way.
