Abstract

Ehsan Noursalehi - UI Engineering and industrial Design and Kristina Schiller and Rick Maturo - UI Marketing. This project utilized cross-disciplinary teams of students and research faculty from business, industrial design, and engineering from the University of Illinois to create entirely new or previously underexplored applications for discarded laptops and/or their components. The presentation included discussion of the results of the project and future plans. With feedback from Dell Computer professionals, students are also exploring opportunities to continue to develop their ideas to marketable products.
