Abstract
The primary goal of the capstone is analyzing the change in the restructured bus network through quantitative analysis techniques. The quantitative aspect would examine the change in accessibility and ridership when Houston shifted its bus network from the Hub and Spoke Model to a Grid System. From the preliminary analysis, the high-frequency routes were more concentrated on the north, west and south neighborhoods of Houston. Although it was intended to connect the main job centers, the east side of Houston which is home to the impoverished communities, have not been linked by the high-frequency system.
