Abstract
The structure of the Gly-Pro and Pro-Gly dipeptides have been studied by laser ablation chirped pulse and molecular beam Fourier transform microwave (LA-CP-FTMW and LA-MB-FTMW) spectroscopy.a,b While three conformers of GlyPro have been characterized only one conformer has been found in Pro-Gly. Interestingly, the resemblance of the structure determined in Gly-Pro and that observed in the crystal of a collagen-like peptide is striking.
