Abstract
On Wednesday afternoon, conference attendees participated in small group world café style discussions that focused on three questions: 1. What stories can you tell about people motivated to do P2?; 2. What values connect people to P2 and the environment?; 3. How can we use stories to connect to people’s values and encourage rethinking? Attendees divided into small groups of five to six people to discuss the first question. Each table had a large sheet of paper. Everyone at the table had markers and were encouraged to write or draw their ideas. After the first round, one person remained at the table and everyone else found a different group of people for the second question. The process was repeated during the third round. At the conclusion of the third small group discussion, each individual wrote their answers to two additional questions on post-it notes and stuck them in a shared area. Those questions were: 1. What has been your major learning or insight?; 2. How might you act on this new understanding? Facilitators grouped the answers into categories and reviewed the responses with the full group to end the session.
