- Abstract
- Sample placement and orientation are critical in fluidic experiments because everything is relative to the flow direction. In biological experiments, placing a living sample accurately in fluidic channels can be challenging—if at all possible. This is because biological samples are usually small in size and delicate to handle. In our lab, we developed a way to control the orientation of a small living sample (i.e., a fruit fly embryo) inside (micro)fluidic channels; this opens up new ways to perform experiments and test hypotheses in life sciences.
