Abstract
This course examines the contrasts and contradictions of China: its geography, history, culture, and place in today's world. The course will focus on aspects of life that are found in all societies, to gain a clearer understanding of the past, present, and future of China and its people – including the similarities and differences in comparison to the Western world.
