Abstract
In this three-week unit presentation, students will learn about the Libyan Civil War, starting with the rise of Muammar Gaddafi. This unit will identify the factors that led to his taking over the country and explain his tactics to maintain control. Furthermore, the unit will examine the relationship between Gaddafi and the United States. Finally, the unit will look at the causes of the current civil war and the condition of the country as a result. Presentation is accompanied by a supporting document containing helpful research resources.
